This site is to educate. You will find information that is relevant to buying a home, once you own a home, and what to do when a "Life Changing Event" changes everything. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or comments that you do not have an answer for.

What does Mortgage mean anyway?
Contrary to what you may think, a mortgage is not a loan.  The word mortgage is believed to originate from the French word mort (meaning “dead”) and from the old English gage (“pledge”).   So a mortgage is a "Pledge of Death"!   Sometimes it feels that way.

Today a mortgage is more likely to refer to the financing that helps you purchase your home.  Unfortunately, for the average home buyer, the mortgage process has become a minefield full of dangers.

This site is designed to help you through the maze and give you the tools to make the best financial decisions for you and your family.   It will give you information for putting your Team together to assist you during the process.  How to Choose the professionals you will need and the questions to ask them.

Under the consumer tab you will find information to answer all your questions and probably a few you didn't think of.  But just in case you don't get you question answered, you can always email it to us.

Have Fun!
